Missing: 1995 Del Mar Fair Cookbook

One of my favorite recipes is for a simple chocolate chip cookie.  I began my quest for the perfect recipe and I found it.  When I lived in San Diego I made a trip to the Del Mar Fair and purchased the prize winning recipes cookbook for that year.  I only made one recipe, blue ribbon chocolate chip cookies.  This was the single most amazing cookie I have ever tasted.  The recipe is simple.  There is a reason it won first place.

The recipe:
Del Mar Fair Cookies

2 sticks butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 ¼ c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
¾ tsp. baking soda
2 TBSP milk
1 (12oz) bag chocolate chips

Beat butter until smooth. Add sugars; beat. Add eggs and vanilla. Add all dry ingredients and milk. Stir until dough is dry. Add chocolate chips. Drop cookies onto sill pat or parchment on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

Now for the missing part of the story.  I LOST the cookbook.  I have looked everywhere for it.  Tore the house a part.  A brief moment of panic hit me because I thought that I had lost the recipe for these cookies as well.  Okay take a deep breath, let it out, look some more, still no cookbook.  Okay, Becky don't panic.  Think, think, think.  Oh Yeah, I posted the recipe on facebook!  Yay cookies saved.  Relax, Bake cookies and relax again!  I am still very sad that the cookbook is MIA.  However the recipe is saved in cyber land forever!

This is the cookie's best friend is a nice glass of ice cold milk!
